ERIC HYNYNEN

Eric Hynynen is a visual artist living in Boorloo Perth, who works across painting, video and installation. His practice navigates a broad range of subject matter including human rights, nature, social commentary, man made systems and recycling.

Eric’s work is shown in galleries and film festivals in Australia and abroad. Eric’s short film The Finn was a finalist in The Celeste Prize in New York. Hynynen was awarded a large scale billboard commission by The City of Joondalup, as well as the acquisitive prize at The Minnawarrra Art Awards. His paintings have been selected as best painting twice at The City of Wanneroo Art Awards.

Hynynen has a Master of Fine Arts from the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts, Helsinki, Finland.
